HIPAA - Compliance

Solomon's Computer Filing Cabinet® (CFC) Software is FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and HIPAA compliant. CFC demonstrated the secure communication at the recent Sixth HIPAA Summit in Washington DC. CFC meets the requirements for security of patient records and disaster recovery. CFC keeps track of who creates the file folders, names the documents, enters the cross-reference info, view the documents, and makes any changes to the proceeding.plus much much more. Not only does the CFC do the above with our web interface we offer another solution - Providing the Patient access to their records.

Since there are multiple solutions let's tackle the various options.

• Solution 1 - The firm has it own in-house turnkey CFC system. The records are either scanned into the system or electronically transferred into the system. The CFC system allows anything that is printable in Windows to be automatically converted to a TIF image and stored in specific folders. This eliminates the need to print and then scan the pages.



• Solution 2 - The firm has only a scan stations and stores the images on a web system located at Solomon's SCAN2US® website. From this website the firm has instant access to the records over a secure connection. This allows access from anywhere for those authorized into the storage area. In addition the patient by using the PIN number that is provided by your firm can access their personal records.



• Solution 3 - The firm selecting Solution 1 that wants to give their patients access to their personal records, but does not want the expense to host the secure website can utilized the SCAN2US® to allow patients to link to this data. Every night transmit the new page-images up to SCAN2US® web storage.

What is the cost?

• Solution 1 - can range from $13,000 to $70,000 or better from $310 per month to $1,600 per month.



• Solution 2 - starts at $300 per month; plus the $2,500 to get setup. In addition if required a scanner, a PC and either a DSL or cable Internet connection. See details.



• Solution 3 - starts at $150 per month for option 1 and grows as the storage requirements grow.
